As she entered the room she didn’t expect to see him, but there he was standing across the room with a wide smirk. ”Rough night?”
She laughed slightly, her head still throbbing. ”I take it you were the one who took the liberty of burying me in tricorn hats then?”
”Never.”
She made her way across the chamber to the chest against the wall and immediately she felt him follow.
She could feel herself cringe as he pushed he body against the wall. ”Lust can easily be confused as something more and we both need to realize that there is simply nothing more than chemistry between us.” The touch of his lips grazed her neck causing goose bumps to form but she knew she had to finish what she started to say, ”This is and will never be anything more than lust.”
Her forehead fell against his head as he allowed a quiet ”Mhmm” to slip through his lips and vibrate onto her skin. She wanted to scream out, but she knew this was for the best.
She looked at him flashing a convincing smile. ”You know, I don’t have time for this. I have a lot to do before tonight.”
”What is tonight?” He stopped his kissing momentarily and looked at her.
”I have decided on my new target!” She exclaimed excitedly. ”I have a lot to do before I seek him out. I was thinking I should change my hair? Maybe to a different color, but not many people have seen me out blonde yet. Maybe in braids? I picked out an outfit, but I still need to figure out my name.”
”Oooh. A new target?” He questioned.
”Mhmmm. I’m shooting big this time.”
”Sanctus?” He laughed.
”Adrien Garnier.” She grinned.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and grinned. ”Maybe I have a few minutes.” In the back of her mind she knew this would only make things more difficult, but she couldn’t resist. Often her job was to seduce men in order to get the information she desired and never before were feelings involved, this instance should be no different. She just needed to keep telling herself that her feelings for him were due to their remarkable chemistry. Nothing concrete could ever come from chemistry. True feelings could not grow out of lust. The more she was able to trick herself into believing this the more open she became to allowing herself to indulge.
