Essay for the crafters.
Leather Armour and it's resists.
We begin with the most common used armour made from leather.
Leather types give a large range of resists to choose from and can suit the needs for all hunters, new or veteran.
All leather parts have the same -total- of resists, meaning a glove and a tunic give the same ammount. There are 6 leather parts we can choose from:
Cap, Gorget, Sleeves, Gloves, Legs and tunic. Remember all parts give the same ammount of resists.
So we got 6 parts and we got 4 leather types:
* Leather, bad choice...
* Spined, good for physical resists.
* Horned, gives an overall good fire resist.
* Barbed, can be good, yet it lacks the physical..
Examining each part there's a great difference between the -total- resists of one part. Assuming the crafter has learned about Arms Lore...
* Leather item gives - 35 Resists per item.
* Spined item gives - 40 per item.
* Horned item gives - 46 per item.
* Barbed item gives - 47 per, you know.
So yes, barbed is the best, yet it depends on the target you want to knock. Trainees might be better of with spined giving 40 luck a piece and a high Physical resist
Which bring us to -Studded- A thing I never understood...
Studded will give only -1- extra to the total resists per item, so you get +6 but can't meditate with it. *shrugs* Why would we need it or even try?
Armour and metal types.
Metal items, not medable and are very often used to look tough. Well there's a thing about metals and it looks fishy. Most metals are weaker than the best leather and the use of metals is only for looks.. Here's how metals give you good looks and bad resists..
All metal items give the same resists including helmets, ringmail, chainmail and plate. So don't fear a plate mail tin man, he is weak and makes alot of noise.
This is the total of resists metal gives..
Iron - 35
Dull Copper - 41, great for physical.
Shadow - 43
Copper - 44
Bronze - 45
Gold - 41, but gives luck.
Agapite - 46
Verite - 47
Valorite -48
Well this tells enough about metal armour, it sucks, only thing better than barbed is valorite which is the same as studded barbed. Which brings us to a problem..
Are all metals useless?
Not for weapons and shields, but for armour... I think they are..
