Tinkerbelle busily went about her business of checking her stock and resupplying her vendors. Some men in dark robes showed up and started looking around at the goods in the store. Tinkerbelle sweetly asked them, "Can I help you?" One of the men looked up and said, "Greetings." She said, "Is there something you are looking for?" and he responded, "We are just browsing around. He tilted his head oddly. She turned back around and continued to resupply her vendor while saying, "OK, let me know if I can be of any help."
The man hesitantly remarked, "Well... we have something near the gate... that may interest you..." Tinkerbelle replied, "What's that?"
He answered, "A rare form of tree, it may be a fortune.. something that could easily bless any home..." His companion irritatingly queried, "You still talking about that holy tree?" He replied sharply, "Of course I am," shaking his head. Tinkerbelle looked at the two of them quizically and asked, "Sounds interesting. Where did you say it is?" It is near the gate...We have someone guarding it.? She asked, "The front gate of the city?" He nodded and said, "That is Correct." As she put the last items on her vendor she replied, "Maybe I'll go check it out. Thanks for the info." He nodded slowly, but continued to look around at the goods.
Tinkerbelle's curiousity got the best of her and she asked him, "Is it difficult to find, do you need to show me?" He nodded to her and gestured for her to follow him. She followed as he led the way through the front gate and toward the portal. Then they all just stopped and appeared to be looking around. She said to him, "So, where is it?"
Suddenly he said harshly, "Now! Grab her!" She squeeled, "What?!" They all moved around her, one of them grabbing her arm. Another kicked her horse causing her to fall from it. She screamed, "What's happening, HELP, HELP!"
The man yelled at her to be quiet and back handed your across the mouth and the other man grabed her and covered her mouth. Feeling faint, she passed out for a short time. (Being a pixie, she also went invisible.)
One of the men yelled, "Quiet you fool!" They looked around and they could not see her and started kicking the air. One of the men said, "You hit her too hard brother!" Another said, "She tricked us." She finally came back around and started mumbling, "What's going on?" and was immediately backhanded again hard in the face. She cried out, "What are you doing to me?" One of them yelled back at her, "Silence!" and then turned to the others and said, "Hold her now, while I make a gate. We need your services. That is all you need to now."
One of the men held her tight as she squirmed hopelessly. They pulled her through the gate and dragged her to a cell and slammed the door. She fell to the floor sobbing uncontrollably. Through her tears she cried, "What are you doing?" One of the men snarled at her, "Stop your crying you fool." Several more men gathered outside the cage. One said, "She doesn't look very virginy." Still sobbing, Tinkerbelle blusters out, "I've done nothing to you." The man replied back to her with a grin, "but you will do something for us." More mockery could be heard from the other men and she tried to ignor them.
A woman appeared who seemed to be of some importance. She said, "This is Tinkerbelle?" The man replied, "The - guest - has arrived Milady." She nodded. Tinkerbelle stood up and sobbing loudly, "I've done nothing to you. You have no right to keep me like this!" The woman responded, "Oh, I know you've done nothing. But we need your ... services." Tinkerbelle whimpered, "What services? I'm just a humble crafter?" The woman asked, "You are a virgin are you not?" Tinkerbelle retorted, "Yes, what does that have to do with anything?"
A slow smile formed on the woman's face. She coyly stated, "My father has .. need ... of a virgin." The others around her laughed wickly. She then said, "You will be treated well until such time that you will die gloriously giving your soul for his. Tinkerbelle screamed, "NO!" One of the men sternly snapped, "Don't say no to the dark lady." The woman then ordered her men, "See that she is comfortable and well fed. Treat her well. She is to be honored for what she will be doing."
Tinkerbelle crouched down in a corner. The men continued to make lude and discusting remarks. The woman finally turned to Tinkerbelle and asked her, "Who.. are ... you exactly?" Tinkerbelle responded meakly, "What do you mean?" The woman said, "Are you royalty?" Tinkerbelle answered proudly, "I'm Baroness of Virgincia." The woman said, "Hmm, I see. Lightbringers?" Tinkerbelle answered as she watch a man pacing the floor in front of her cell, "Yes, we follow the Virtues." Then he cleared his throat as if he were going to speak, laughed softly and stared, then he said, "Then I pray to the virtues it succeeds," laughing madly, "Hah hah hah hah haaaah!"
Tinkerbelle brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. He whole body was shivering as tears rolled down her face. She could feel the bruise on her cheek, as it had swollen her eye partially shut. The woman suddendly stated, "I have duties to attend. I will see you all later." The others continued to mock Tinkerbelle for a while, then they offered her a mat to sleep on and some food. As she sat in her corner eating, they came and got the other woman who was quietly sitting on the other side of the cell. She said to the men, "Where are you taking her?" All she heard was, "Say good bye to her" as they all disappeared from view. She could hear a commotion going on above her, but couldn't make anything out. Exhausted, she laid down on the mat and fell into a restless sleep.
