Aurelia woke up from her nap to a loud noise coming from upstairs. The night before Lady Ditto had offered for her to stay in her home for a few days. Aurelia accepted the invitation, but not because of the luxurious state of the keep, or lack there of, but because she was much to frightened to leave and find her way to an inn, alone.
She crept throughout the house looking for a way to get upstairs. Finally, she found a teleport. Nothing could prepare her for what she was about to see. The second she appeared on the top floor a man pulled a sword. She quickly ran into the corner and stared blankly at a huge beast. A rather large group of people stood surrounding a beast, who was obviously irritated. Each person was dressed in dark shades of grey and black and it looked as though there were stains of blood on the floor. Her stomach turned.
Her eyes wandered from each person to the next, trying to find Ditto. She was standing directly in front of the beast, but she did not look well. Aurelia had to think on it a moment, but finally her mind clicked. The night before Ditto told her of her husband Taro, how he was banished and they were trying to bring him back. Suddenly Ditto fell to the floor and a decent amount of blood made a puddle around her body.
Her body jerked forward, but then she pulled back out of fear. She wanted to help, but knew it was in her best interest to stay put. A man stepped forward and began dragging her away from the beast. The blood smearing against the floor was unbearable. She ran for the teleport, closing her eyes. Once her eyes opened she was surprised to see herself standing on the second floor. She bolted for the exit. She knew that being outside was no safer than being inside, but needed a breath of fresh air. She stood outside for a good amount of time, but never wandered far from the keep.
Once she heard the noise die down she decided to enter, perhaps get some rest. She wandered back up to the second floor and into Ditto’s room. She sat down and removed her boots and bonnet and made her way to the bed. Her eyes grew wide as she stared down at Ditto. The sheets were stained in blood, oh how she hated blood. A loud shriek left her throat following a loud thud caused by her body hitting the floor.
